Effective date: November 3, 2026
Introduction
Draw Ideas LLC, DBA Daroon House ("Daroon House," "we," "us," or "our") operates daroon.house (the "Website") and offers yoga, breathwork, meditation, sound healing, dance (including Baby and Me dance), movement classes, and related services at our studio in Tarzana, California. This Privacy Policy explains what personal information we collect through our Website, online booking system, waivers, and communications; how we use and share it; and the choices you have.
This Privacy Policy is part of our Website Terms of Service. By using our Website or services, you acknowledge the practices described in this policy. If you do not agree, please do not use our Website.
Information We Collect
We collect information you give us directly and information collected automatically when you use our Website.
Information you provide
- Account information: your name, email address and/or mobile phone number, and your birthday if you choose to give it. There is no password: you sign in with a one-time code we send to your email or, by text message, to your phone.
- Bookings and purchases: the classes you reserve or cancel, waitlist requests, class packages and the classes used from them, drop-in purchases, gift cards you buy (including the recipient's name, email and message if you add them), and check-ins at the front desk.
- Waiver and consent acceptance: when you accept our Participant Liability Waiver or Parent/Guardian Consent, we record that you accepted it, which version you accepted, and the date and time. We do not collect emergency contacts, health information, or details about children through the Website.
- Communication preferences: whether you want booking messages by email and text, whether you have opted in to studio news, and whether (and when) you agreed to receive promotional text messages.
- Opening-list signups: your email address, if you ask to be invited to the opening.
- Offer sign-ups: if you request a welcome code through the offer window on our Website, we create an account with your first name and the email address or mobile number you give, and send your personal code there. Receiving texts is optional and needs a separate tick.
- Messages to us: anything you choose to include when you email, call or text us.
- Medical refund requests: if you ask for a refund or extension for a health reason, you may send us a note from your healthcare provider. You do not need to disclose your diagnosis.
- Payment information: payments are processed by our payment processor, Stripe. We never receive or store your full card number. Stripe tells us the amount and date of each payment and lets us see limited details such as the card brand and last four digits.
Information collected automatically
- Sign-in records: when you sign in, we keep the browser type and IP address with your session to protect your account.
- Usage data: through the analytics tools described below, pages viewed, how you arrived at our Website, approximate location (city level), device and browser type, and how you move through a page.
- Cookies and similar technologies: see "Cookies, Analytics, and Advertising" below.
How We Use Your Information
We use personal information to:
- Create and manage your account, sign you in, and keep your account secure.
- Manage your bookings, waitlist requests, class packages, introductory offers, and gift cards.
- Process payments, refunds, and class credits, and review medical refund and extension requests.
- Keep records of accepted waivers and parent/guardian consents.
- Check you in at the front desk with your studio pass.
- Send booking confirmations, reminders, waitlist offers, schedule changes, package notices, receipts, and other service messages by email and, if you give us your number, by text.
- Send studio news, offers, and gentle reminders about your practice (you can unsubscribe at any time), and promotional texts only if you have opted in to them.
- Respond to your questions and requests.
- Understand how our Website is used and improve it.
- Measure the results of our ads, if you have not opted out (see "Your Privacy Rights").
- Prevent fraud and misuse, comply with legal obligations, respond to claims, and enforce our Terms of Service and waivers.
Cookies, Analytics, and Advertising
Cookies are small files stored on your device. We use them to keep the Website working, remember your choices, and measure traffic.
- Essential cookies keep you signed in, remember your privacy choice, and make booking and checkout work.
- First-visit cookie: a first-party cookie (`daroon_ft`, kept for 180 days) remembers how you first found us: the campaign tags in the link you followed, the referring website, the page you landed on, and ad click identifiers (we leave out Meta's click identifier if you have opted out or your browser sends Global Privacy Control). If you create an account, this is saved with your account so we can understand which channels bring people to the studio.
- Google Analytics 4 helps us understand how visitors use the Website. We load it through Google's tag, alongside Google Tag Manager, which we use to manage website tags.
- Microsoft Clarity, when enabled, shows us how visitors use our pages through heatmaps and session replays. We set it to mask the text and form entries on our pages, so it does not capture what you type.
- Meta Pixel, when enabled, lets us measure the results of our ads on Facebook and Instagram, such as how many people who saw an ad later signed up or bought a package. It never loads if you have opted out or if your browser sends a Global Privacy Control signal.
None of these tools run on the pages where you sign in, manage your account, or that our staff use. You can also block or delete cookies in your browser settings, though some features may stop working, and you can opt out of Google Analytics with Google's browser add-on. Our Website does not respond to browser "Do Not Track" signals, but it does honor Global Privacy Control (see "Your Privacy Rights").
How We Share Your Information
We do not sell your personal information for money. We share it only as described here:
- Service providers who work on our behalf and may use your information only to provide services to us: Stripe (payments), Mailgun (email delivery), Twilio (text messages), Google (Analytics and Tag Manager), Microsoft (Clarity), and our hosting providers, Amazon Web Services and DigitalOcean (encrypted backups).
- Instructors and studio staff, who see the bookings and check-ins they need to run your class.
- Advertising partners: if the Meta Pixel is enabled and you have not opted out, Meta receives information about your visits and actions on our Website. Under California law, this may count as "sharing" for cross-context behavioral advertising. You can opt out at any time (see "Your Privacy Rights").
- Insurers and professional advisors, such as our insurance carrier, attorneys, and accountants, when needed to handle a claim, an incident, or our legal and financial obligations.
- Legal and safety reasons, when required by law or to protect the rights, property, or safety of our clients, staff, or others.
- Business transfers, if our studio is sold, merged, or reorganized.
- With your consent, for any other purpose we tell you about.
We do not share personal information with third parties for their own direct marketing purposes.
Text Messages
If you give us your mobile number, we text you about your bookings and payments, which you can turn off in your account. Promotional texts, such as class reminders and offers, are sent only if you opt in, and only between 9 am and 8 pm studio time. Message and data rates may apply. Reply STOP to any text to stop receiving them. Texts are delivered through Twilio, and we do not share your number with anyone for their own marketing.
Health and Wellness Information
We do not ask for health information through the Website. If you choose to tell an instructor about an injury, condition, pregnancy, or other factor that may affect your practice, it is used only to keep your class safe and suited to you. We never use health information for advertising, share it with advertising partners, or sell it.
Daroon House is not a healthcare provider, so this information is generally not covered by HIPAA. We still treat it as sensitive and share it only with the staff who need it.
Data Retention
We keep personal information for as long as your account is active or as needed to provide services, keep required business and tax records, resolve disputes, and enforce our agreements. Specifically:
- Your account: until you delete it. When you delete your account, we wait seven days in case you change your mind, then erase your name, email, phone number, birthday, preferences, and studio pass.
- Purchases, bookings, credits, and check-ins are kept as long as tax and accounting laws require. After an account is deleted, these records are no longer tied to your name.
- Waiver and consent acceptance records (which version and when) are kept for at least five years after your last visit; for records about minors, until at least five years after the minor turns 18, because legal claims involving minors can be brought for several years after they reach adulthood.
- Medical refund documentation is deleted once your request is resolved; we keep only a record of the decision.
- Analytics data is kept by Google and Microsoft for the period set in our accounts with them, no longer than 14 months for Google Analytics.
- Your privacy choice is kept in a cookie on your browser for one year.
When information is no longer needed, we delete or anonymize it.
Data Security
We use reasonable administrative, technical, and physical safeguards, including encrypted connections (HTTPS), one-time sign-in codes instead of passwords, access controls, and encrypted backups. Card payments are handled by Stripe, which maintains its own security standards. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, so we cannot guarantee absolute security. Please keep access to your email and phone secure, since sign-in codes are sent there.
Children's Privacy
Our Website is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information online from children. Children and teens, including infants in Baby and Me dance, may attend classes only with a parent or legal guardian's consent; the parent or guardian books under their own account and accepts the consent online.
We do not sell children's information or use it for advertising. A parent or guardian may review, correct, or ask us to delete information about their child by contacting us, subject to the record-keeping described in "Data Retention." If you believe a child has given us information directly, contact us and we will delete it.
Your Choices
- Marketing emails: click "unsubscribe" in any studio news email, or change your preferences in your account. You will still receive booking and account messages.
- Text messages: reply STOP to any text, or change your preferences in your account.
- Account information: review your details in your account, or contact us to correct them.
- Cookies and ads: manage them as described in "Cookies, Analytics, and Advertising," and opt out of sharing at https://daroon.house/privacy/choices/
Your Privacy Rights
If you live in California, the California Consumer Privacy Act gives you these rights (residents of other states may have similar rights, and we honor these requests from everyone):
- Know and access: ask what personal information we collect, use, and share, and get a copy of it. Signed-in members can download their data instantly from "Your data" in their account.
- Delete: ask us to delete your personal information, subject to legal exceptions such as the records described in "Data Retention." Signed-in members can delete their account from "Your data" in their account.
- Correct: ask us to correct inaccurate information.
- Opt out of sale or sharing: we do not sell personal information, but the Meta Pixel may count as "sharing" for advertising. Opt out at https://daroon.house/privacy/choices/ (the "Do Not Sell or Share My Personal Information" link at the bottom of every page). We also treat a Global Privacy Control signal from your browser as a valid opt-out, automatically.
- Limit the use of sensitive personal information: we do not use or disclose sensitive personal information for any purpose that would give rise to this right.
- Non-discrimination: we will not treat you differently for exercising any of these rights.
To make a request by other means, email Support@daroon.house or call (747) 221-1908. We will verify your identity, usually by confirming a code sent to the email or phone on your account, and aim to respond within 45 days. You may use an authorized agent, and we may ask for proof that they act for you. If we deny your request, you may appeal by replying to our decision.
Changes to This Policy
We may update this policy from time to time. We will post the new version on this page with a new effective date, and notify you of significant changes by email or a notice on our Website.
